Ivan Dolowitz was formed in 2003 by Ivan Dolowitz himself. He released 5 songs in 2003 at mikseri.net . By that time, Ivan had a bass guitar and electric guitar. He used Fastracker II to compose the drums and lead synths. Most of the songs Ivan Dolowitz composed at 2003, were neither cover songs from the video games he used to play as a child, or some generic thrash metal songs. Quality of the songs were quite bad, since Ivan was not a professional producer. By the end of year 2003, Ivan bought a MIDI master keyboard from the local computer store, but he was frustrated by the fact, that he didn't have any experience with MIDI composing software. In 2003, Ivan Composed 13 songs ready, most of them were cover songs.

In 2005 Ivan learned to use various MIDI/audio composing software, and as a practice work, he composed Pikselikommando, the first step towards to the style Ivan Dolowitz is nowadays. After gaining the long lost friendship back with Ensio Poidokoff, Ensio assured Ivan, that this was the right path to carry on. So Ivan composed the track "8 Alas 21" and Ensio agreed to play the lead synths. By the time "The Last Ninja In Space" was released in Internet, Ensio had became the first official member of Ivan Dolowitz. In 2005 Ivan Dolowitz composed 13 songs ready.

In 2006 Ivan continued composing songs. 9 songs were made, 8 of them were released in the internet.
In 2007 Ivan made only one song, but decided not to release it.
So far in 2008 Ivan managed to release one new song (Yet Another Autoscrolling Level)
